Lisa VanZegeren is a 23-year veteran teacher in the American public school system. Over the past decade, she developed and maintained a school-within-a-school catering to thousands of urban teens. She has a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Literature from Grand Valley State University. She is currently living in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with her two cats Sophie and Bowie. During the summer months, she can be found traveling Europe.
